Just Cuts are back to end Britain’s bad hair days from July 4

It’s been 3 months since all UK Just Cuts salons were forced to close, and stylists are busy preparing to fix the at home hair horrors that have taken over Britain from July 4.

David Mathie, General Manager Just Cuts UK, says all 8 Just Cuts salons will open on July 4 in line with UK government restrictions lifting for hair and beauty businesses, including new salons at Middlesbrough and Sunderland.

“We’ve heard from desperate couples forced to cut each other’s hair, men stuck with shonky shaves and traumatised teens who never want their parents to touch scissors again. It’s chaos,” says David.

“But for everyone sick of staring at their chin length fringe on zoom meetings, Just Cuts stylists are here to help you once more from July 4.”

“Our salons overseas have already been busy sorting out COVID hair for the Aussies and Kiwis – now it’s finally Britain’s turn for some post-iso pampering. Our stylists can’t wait get you feeling great about your hair again.”

Just Cuts salons remain committed to stopping the spread of COVID-19 by observing the same health guidelines as their sister salons overseas and observing strict social distancing measures.

“All UK salons are keeping our ‘No appointments’ promise for the convenience of clients, who can download the free Just Cuts app to view their local salon queue time on a smartphone and reserve a spot,” adds David. “Whether you check in on the app or visit us first, we’ll send you a text when you’re next in line.”

“Our staggered appointment system is working wonders overseas where we’ve had lines out the door from day one since reopening – it means no queues. We know how to operate responsibly in this period because we’re already doing it in countries that have managed COVID-19 so well.”

“We’ve been preparing since the day we shut down so we could open right away when it was safe for our clients and stylists to do so. That time is now July 4. ”

David says there’s no need to be hesitant about getting your hair styled with Just Cuts, as all salons meet the UK Governments ‘COVID-19 Secure’ guidelines and will not charge a PPE mask fee.

“Just Cuts aren’t taking any chances. We’re providing all our stylists with PPE masks and clients with disposable capes, with no extra fees for clients. In addition to using contactless payments, we’ll also be carrying out daily deep-cleaning as well as sterilising stations and equipment for every client.”

“We know our regulars are desperate for their Style Cuts from the calls and emails we’ve seen, and it’s been hard to say no during lockdown,” adds David.

“From July 4, we hope you choose to support your locally owned and operated Just Cuts salon as we get Brits back to looking their best - and put an end to DIY hair disasters.”

More about Just Cuts

Just Cuts is an Australian hairdressing franchise that bridges the gap between a barber and a high end hair salon. With salons in every state of Australia, on both the North and South islands New Zealand and the United Kingdom, it is the largest hairdressing company in the Southern Hemisphere. Based on a fixed price, no appointment system, Just Cuts offers clients affordable haircuts from fully qualified hairdressers and performs over 100,000 Style Cut cuts per week across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Celebrating 30 years in 2020, Just Cuts was the brainchild of Denis McFadden, who turned a simple idea into a business concept that would change the hairdressing industry forever. McFadden ran his first ever “no appointment, $6 Style Cut” promotion at his humble Sydney salon, receiving an outstanding response from clients. It was on this basic fixed price initiative that the idea of Just Cuts was born. The following year, the inaugural Just Cuts salon opened its door to the public. And in 1990, the first Just Cuts franchise opened in the suburb of Engadine, in the south of Sydney, New South Wales. Our brand has continued to expand ever since, with over 220 locations across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

In 2013, Just Cuts launched JUSTICE Professional – a range of salon quality haircare and styling products available exclusively in all our salons at a competitive, affordable price. The JUSTICE Professional line has something for everyone, including everyday shampoos and conditioners, anti-dandruff and dry scalp treatments, toning products, nourishing leave-in treatments and a range of hair styling waxes and sprays.
