This will make it the Australian hair salon franchise's fifth UK salon, in Leeds

In 2019, Just Cuts began to establish itself as the hair salon franchise of choice for entrepreneurs around the UK. As well as welcoming three new franchisees, the brand launched a dedicated UK product site, bringing its affordable range of salon-inspired products to clients. Now, it is revelling in the success of its fifth salon launch, as Just Cuts opens in Leeds.

“We’re very excited to have opened the salon doors to customers in Leeds,” said David Mathie, UK general manager for the international hair salon franchise. “When the retail unit became available, we jumped at the chance to add it to our property portfolio as it is in such a sought-after location, in the heart of a busy shopping centre in the east of the city. There has been so much interest from the local community in our services and the potential career opportunities we will bring to the area.

“Since our company-owned location in Essex has recently been taken over by a franchise owner, we were keen to invest in a new site that we can initially get off the ground. Now the salon is open to customers, we’re looking for a determined and hard-working franchisee to invest in the site and take over ownership. You don’t even need to have salon experience to be a Just Cuts franchisee – we’re looking for business-minded individuals who share our passion for client experience. The opening of the salon in Leeds is part of our ongoing plan for growth in the UK.”

As general manager, Mathie is the UK lead for the ongoing expansion, supported by a team in Australia. As a Just Cuts franchisee and former head of national operations in Australia and New Zealand, his experience in the industry is invaluable as the brand grows.

Mathie continued: “My role has evolved so rapidly since I first arrived in the UK, 12 months ago, to manage our launch here. It’s been very exciting to see how quickly our brand name has grown across the country and just how many prospective franchise owners are looking to invest in our franchise package. I’m very proud to front our growth in the UK – seeing it come to fruition has been very exciting for the entire support team.

“In 2020, we have even more phenomenal opportunities for anyone looking to invest in a franchise. We’re looking for determined and passionate entrepreneurs who really understand the growth potential for hair and beauty services in the UK. Something tells me this is going to be an amazing year for Just Cuts in the UK.”
